Being Labour, Breaking News, Cotterill on the Council

Worse than bad

10.23.10 | Comment?

David Cameron, Andrew Marr show, 02 May 2010:

What I can tell you is any cabinet minister, if I win the election, who comes to me and says: “Here are my plans,” and they involved frontline reductions, they will be sent straight back to their department to go away and think again.

Lancashire Evening Telegraph, 22 October 2010:

EVERY police community support officer in Lancashire has today been told their jobs are under threat.

The constabulary has 427 PCSO positions, of which 409 are currently filled, and receives funding for them from central Government or partners such as local councils.

Due to the uncertainty of whether this funding will continue after the end of this financial year, a 90-day consultation period over the PCSO jobs has begun.

Absolute disgrace.

Under Labour, crime fell by 43%.

As one resident at a recent Skelmersdale Police and Community Together (PACT )meeting said:

‘If they take away the PCSO’s we’ll be bajck to the bad old days.’

This is worse than the bad old days.  This is a Cameron government
