The Conservatives are losing – so they’re getting ready to blame the electorate

Hat tip to Tom at New Direction for linking to this Stephen Glover article in the Daily Mail about how the Conservatives are likely to lose an election because their top two are their top two, and how they’d be better of with K Clarke (semi-ret’d).

I’m not really fussed who runs the Conservatives, but this bit of the article amused me:

‘In 1974 – the last time we had a February election – the Tory Prime Minister Ted Heath asked the voters whether they wished to be held to ransom by the miners. The electorate took the cowardly option’.

An interesting view of the of the British electorate, I have to say.  Right if they vote Conservative, cowards if they think the Conservatives can’t be trusted.

I can almost smell the patronisation wafting from the Mail’s offices.
